Heritage Maisonettes
Dickson, ACT
Complete
Built between 1959 and 1962, the Maisonettes in Dickson are among the last surviving examples of Canberra’s first modern apartment living. The Maisonettes were always intended as more than housing. They created a landscaped “gateway” to Canberra, framed by gardens, shared pathways, and generous courtyards —designed to offer light, space, and a sense of community for a city in its infacy. Art Group has restored these residences for their intended use merging functional design with modernist intent.
